A Quiet Riverside Walk at Parque de la Memoria — Costanera Norte, Nunez, Buenos Aires

A calm, open walk along the Rio de la Plata at the Parque de la Memoria. The long memorial wall is engraved with the names of those lost to state terrorism, and sculptures stand out across the grass toward the water. It is a reflective, unhurried place, loveliest in the soft light of late afternoon.

On this plan

  • River views
  • Open sky and wide lawns
  • The memorial wall of names
  • Sculptures across the park
  • Flat, easy paths
  • Quiet and reflective

Getting there

Take the Tren Mitre to the Ciudad Universitaria stop, or a bus along Avenida Costanera Rafael Obligado. It is a short walk from there to the entrance.

The park is open and calm during the day, though it sits a little apart from the city. Come in daylight, and it is loveliest in the late afternoon or with a friend.
