A short, lively walk through the city's Chinatown and into the green calm just beside it. Follow Arribenos past the lanterns and food stalls, then climb into the Barrancas de Belgrano, a sloping park laid out in 1892 by the French landscape architect Charles Thays. On weekends a milonga gathers under the old bandstand, the Glorieta, as the light drops.

Getting there
Train to Belgrano C on the Mitre line, right by the park, or Subte Line D to Juramento and a walk east.
The neighbourhood is busy and easy to reach by train. It is liveliest on weekends, so come before dark if you want the park calm, or stay for the milonga under the Glorieta.
